Patient Reviews: Dr. Curtis W. Rodin

Curtis W. Rodin, MD

The following are reviews from patients of Dr. Rodin.

“When I arrived in Dr. Rodin’s office, I had been suffering terrible, constant pain in my hip, and could barely walk with a walker. Gradually, I’d given up my activities, could no longer attend church, shop for groceries and other necessities, or do cooking and housework. Amazingly, the surgery was successful. Now, six weeks after, I am free of pain, walking stronger every day, and looking forward to returning to the gym, sailing with my son, and spending time with my grandchildren. Dr. Rodins skill as a surgeon and his calm and caring manner are simply amazing to me. I have my quality of life back, and he is my hero.”

“I saw Dr. Rodin for a torn rotator cuff. He has been a competent, compassionate surgeon. He has listened to my concerns and has tried to figure out the reasons for the continuing pain after the surgery. I feel he will continue to work with me until my shoulder is better. I feel confident in his knowledge and he makes you feel like he cares about you getting back to a normal life.”

“I have been a patient of Dr. Rodin on three separate occasions. The first time was in 2009 for an arthroscopic meniscus repair of my left knee. Both Dr. Rodin and the entire staff were great. The surgery went very well and six weeks after surgery I climbed Mt. Whitney with my family. In 2013 Dr. Rodin preformed a similar procedure on my right knee. Again the treatment at the clinic was great and the surgery went very well. Six weeks after the procedure my wife and I were scuba diving in Indonesia. Both knees have been great since the surgeries. In 2015 Dr. Rodin and his staff were great when I required a total hip replacement on my right side. Once again the procedure went off without any difficulties and within three months I had total mobility of both legs. I have recommended Skagit Northwest Orthopedics (SNO) to everyone who has contacted for advice regarding these surgical procedures. All of the staff at SNO were amazing and always very helpful during the pre and post operative periods.”

“In December of 2014 I had an artificial hip replacement. Not only did Dr. Rodin and his staff perform an excellent surgery, but I believe because of the way they took their time explaining the importance of the after care, I made certain that I followed their instructions. My hip feels so good, that sometimes I forget that I ever had the surgery. They were also careful to warn me about that, and I know that I must still be cautious at times. I will never forget the manner in which they communicated with me. I can still see Dr. Rodin and at another time his medical assistant bending their knees and physically demonstrating the positions that are safe and positions with movements that could cause problems with the new hip. As a retired physical education teacher and high school coach, I know that physical demonstrations play a big part in the learning of skills, movements, and activities. Dr. Rodin is an excellent surgeon but even more so, he and his staff are excellent educators. I would like to thank them all for a great job, well done.”
